I was a resident at the Gilead House and program taught me how to live a normal life. I completed the program, my probation and I am now employed as a Support Staff Specialist at the Gilead House. I now share my story and help other women with their addiction.

The Gilead House has saved my life and me purpose again. I came here from jail; I had lost my home and I had lost my kids in a DCS case. I have been an addict for most of my adult life but with the help of the Gilead House, I am gaining everything back. I have been clean for over a year, I have gotten my driver’s license, I now get four visits a week with my children, my DCS case is coming to a close and I am looking for a place for us to be reunite. I now work at a job that I love, I bought a car and I look forward to the future. I love the Gilead House, Ms. Reba and the staff have changed my life and helped to make everything possible for me to grow and succeed.

The Gilead House has been a safe place to develop the tools needed to nurture and maintain my sobriety. More than that these women and this house have become a second home and family, full of love, encouragement, guidance and hope. I am so grateful to Ms. Reba, Kylee and Sherry and all of the staff for believing in me. With their help, I have learned that God has a greater plan for me, I am worthy and I can succeed. Thank God for the Gilead House and all who serve there.
